My first introduction to the world of arts and Crafts was when I received the McCall's Make it book at age six. The book was crammed with different craft ideas. Both my mother and Grandmother “Honey”were a big influence upon my love of sewing and quilting. I helped Honey with hand quilting. Later in the eighth grade I was blessed with the greatest Art teacher. She taught color and followed up with many different mediums, even copper enameling. After retiring Bob and I went full time "RVing". Since space was an issue and my hands were itching to do something I took up beading and pine needle weaving. Once we settled in Shelton my sewing desires came back so I joined a guilt group. Believe it or not I have started doing macrame again, lots of fun and therapeutic.
Keeps my fingers moving.
