Shirley is an eighty-eight years old Tai Chi teacher. Since her high school years on the acrobatic team, she has been interested in health and fitness. At that time there were no coaches so her acrobatic team practiced and developed movements on their own. In her adult life, she joined aerobic, yoga and many other exercise classes. Through this exploration, Ms. Schober found that Tai Chi practice not only kept her agile, more balanced and healthier but it also was a great stress reliever. Shirley currently teaches Tai Chi four times a week at the Senior Center in Shelton. The South Sound Yoga and Wellness Group is privileged to have her here for our retreat
